Soundarya Rajinikanth, who last made Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 in 2017, has joined hands with MRP Entertainment for her next. Zion Films is also producing alongside MRP Entertainment.

Pasilian Nazerath and Magesh Raj Pasilian will produce the film, which is tentatively titled Production Number 4. MRP Entertainments has previously backed Manikandan's Good Night and Lover, alongside 2025's blockbuster hit Tourist Family.

Meanwhile, in 2023, it was announced that Soundarya Rajinikanth will produce a series with Ashok Selvan in the lead, titled Gangs. Gangs is written and directed by Noah Abraham, who has previously worked with Soundarya in Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 as an assistant director. Gangs is produced by Soundarya's production house, May 6 Entertainment, and will be released on Amazon Prime Video.

More details about the film, including the cast and crew of the film is all set to be announced on Wednesday evening.

Soundarya Rajinikanth made her directorial debut with Kochadaiiyaan in 2014. She followed it up with Velaiyilla Pattadhari in 2017. Prior to that, she worked as a graphic designer on a number of film title sequences, including, Chandramukhi, Baba and Padayappa, and Sivaji.
