With just two weeks to go for the release of Sivakarthikeyan's much-anticipated Madharaasi, directed by AR Murugadoss, the makers have announced that the film's grand audio and trailer launch will take place on August 24.

Madharaasi marks the first collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Murugadoss, while it is a reunion between the director and Vidyut Jammwal after the 2012 film Thuppakki. The film also stars Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead, her second film in Tamil after this year's Ace. Biju Menon, Vikranth, and Shabeer Kallarakkal will also be seen in pivotal roles.

While nothing about the plotline of Madharaasi is known, Murugadoss, in an interview, said it will combine Ghajini and Thuppakki in script and action, respectively.

Music composer Anirudh, cinematographer Sudeep Elamon, and editor A Sreekar Prasad make up Madharaasi's technical crew. The film is backed by N Srilakshmi Prasad of Sri Lakshmi Movies.

Madharaasi will release on September 5, 2025, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. In Hindi, the film has been titled Dil Madharaasi.
