KS Ravikumar shares unseen photos with Rajinikanth, says Coolie is a celebration of his legacy

Veteran director and actor KS Ravikumar reminisced the time he worked with Rajinikanth and penned a note on his X handle as the star completes 50 years in the film industry. He shared a few behind-the-scene stills from Padayappa and Muthu where K Balachander was also seen in one of the pictures.

He wrote, "My heartfelt wishes to our cinema’s eternal Superstar, Rajinikanth sir, on completing 50 glorious years in cinema." As his 171st film Coolie hit theatres on Thursday, KS Ravikumar said that it's "not just a film release" but a celebration of his legacy and his never-ending bond with the audience.

KS Ravikumar has collaborated with Rajinikanth thrice - Muthu (1995), Padayappa (1999) and Lingaa (2014). He has also played cameo roles in his films.

Over last few days, many celebrities including, actors, producers and directors have congratulated the star for his contributions to cinema and celebrated his milestone golden jubilee year in the industry.

Coolie hit theatres on Thursday amid much fanfare and soaring hype. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in his first collaboration with Rajinikanth, film stars an ensemble cast consisting of Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and Aamir Khan, among others.
