Charlie-starrer Finder gets release date

Helmed by Vinoth Rajendran, the film also stars Sendraayan and Nizhagal Ravi

The makers of actor Charlie's upcoming film, Finder, announced the film's release date on Wednesday. Billed to be a thriller film based on a true story, Finder is all set to hit theatres on April 19.

A courtroom drama, Finder is written and directed by Vinoth Rajendran. The filmmaker has previously helmed movies like the romantic drama Ilamai Enum Poongatru and the action drama Patra Vaitha Nerupondru.

Finder is set in the backdrop of Chennai and is based on a true story about an organization that finds people who have been incarcerated for a long time for crimes they did not commit in the United States. The organisation takes efforts to prove them innocent and get their due compensation from the government.

Director Vinoth will also be playing an important part in the film, along with Abhilash, Gopinath, Shankar and Prana. Bankrolled by Arabi Pictures and Viyan Ventures, Finder has music by Surya Prasadh R, and the technical crew includes names like Prasath Vellayangiri, Tamil Kumaresan, SK Ajay and Vishal Varshan.
