The first look poster for Sathyaraj’s upcoming action-thriller film Weapon has been released online. The poster shows Sathyaraj’s character in a brand new look with a fire raging beside him, the poster held the caption: The Hunt Begins.

Weapon has Sathyaraj along with Rocky fame Vasanth Ravi in the lead and is directed by Guhan Senniappan. The director had previously directed Amazon Prime Video’s first Tamil web series Vellai Raja and also made the 2016 film Sawaari. 

Talking about the film in an interview, director Guhan said, "Weapon is an action thriller and Sathyaraj sir's character was something that was written keeping in mind. The film will showcase him in a new character, unlike anything we have seen in recent times. The film will mark his return to the action genre. I cannot speak in detail about the lead characters at this juncture.”

M S Manzoor is producing the film under his banner Million Studio. The cinematography is handled by Prabhu Rhagav while the music for the film is composed by Ghibran. The makers of the film are yet to finalise a release date.
