We had earlier reported that Udanpirappe, starring Sasikumar and Jyotika, will be premiering on Amazon Prime Video. It has now been announced that the film will be premiering on the streaming platform on October 14. The film marks Jyotika's 50th outing as an actor.
Udanpirappe, which explores sibling bonding, also features Samuthirakani, Kalaiyarasan, and Soori in supporting roles. In addition to acting in the film, Jyotika has co-produced the film with her husband and actor Suriya. Udanpirappe has cinematography by Velraj, while D Imman has composed the music.
Interestingly, Sasikumar's Rajavamsam is set to release in theatres on the same date. Directed by Era Saravanan, Udanpirappe is the second film from Suriya's production house, 2D Entertainment, to premiere on Amazon Prime Video after Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum.
Also, it is the second film starring Jyotika to premiere on Amazon Prime Video after Ponmagal Vandhal. The production house's upcoming films include Suriya-starrer Jai Bhim and the family comedy, Oh My Dog.
