Russell Crowe has been roped in to play the lead in Poker Face, a thriller that is set to be directed by Gary Fleder.

According to Deadline, Crowe will play a tech billionaire named Jake, who invites his childhood friends to his Miami estate for a high stakes game of poker. A master game player, Jake has elaborate schemes designed to bring a certain justice to all of them, with whom he shares a love-hate relationship. Things take a turn when Jake realises that there is a dangerous home invader amongst the crowd whose previous jobs have all ended in murder or arson.

With a script written by Stephen M Coates, Poker Face is financed and produced by Arclight Films. The producers are Gary Hamilton, Addam Bramich, Ryan Hamilton, Jeanette Volturno, Jason Clark and Keith Rodger.

Director Fleder is known for films like Don't Say A Word, Runaway Jury and The Express: The Ernie Davis Story. His last film direction credit was the 2013 Jason Statham-starrer Homefront.

Crowe, who last starred in Unhinged, will be soon seen in The Georgetown Project and in MCU's Thor: Love and Thunder.
