Director Rajesh's next film is set to star GV Prakash in the lead. The untitled film has already gone on floors and 60 per cent of the shooting has been completed. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film will star Amritha Aiyer of Bigil fame in the lead role.

The film, which also stars Anandraj, Daniel Anne Pope, Reshma, Pragathi and Jayaprakash in important roles, is planned to be an April 14 release. Contrary to reports about the film being a direct-to-TV release, it has now come to light that the project will be a theatrical release.

GV Prakash and Rajesh had earlier teamed up for Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru (2016).

Rajesh's last release was Mr Local (2019), and the director is currently awaiting the release of an anthology titled Victim that also has shorts by Venkat Prabhu, Pa Ranjith, and Chimbu Devan.

Meanwhile, GV Prakash has a slew of releases in the pipeline, including Ayngaran, Adangathey, Jail, 4G, Kadhalikka Yarumillai, Bachelor, and Aayiram Jenmangal.
