Mayabazar 2016 Tamil remake goes on floors 

Filmmaker-actor Sundar C, who owns the Tamil remake rights of the original film, will be producing the project under his Avni Movies banner

The Tamil remake of the Kannada hit film Mayabazar 2016, starring Prasanna, Shaam, Ashwin Kakumanu, Shruti Marathe and Yogi Babu in vital roles, went on floors today. The yet-to-be-titled remake will be helmed by Badri, who is known for directing films like Aiyntham Padai and Veerappu.

Filmmaker-actor Sundar C, who owns the Tamil remake rights of the original film, will be producing the project under his Avni Movies banner.

Mayabazar 2016, starring Raj B. Shetty, Vasishta Simha, Achyuth Kumar and Prakash Raj, was released earlier this year. The story follows the lives of three people who get affected by demonetisation in 2016.

The Tamil remake has music by Sathya and cinematography by Kicha.
