We had previously told you that filmmaker Ike, who made his directorial debut with 2017's Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, will be making a biopic on later veteran actor, and his grandfather, MR Radha. However, news started to surface recently that the director would be helming an MGR biopic with Arvind Swami and Simbu playing MG Ramachandran and MR Radha, respectively.

A source close to the director has now rubbished these reports as baseless rumours and confirmed that the filmmaker is still focused on the MR Radha biopic. The source adds that Ike has finalised the cast and crew of the project, and an official announcement will be made about the title and other details soon. The film is said to throw light on the "unspoken goodness" of the actor who is known for primarily playing the villain throughout his career.
