Vijay and Murugadoss' next titled Sarkar  

Incidentally, Ram Gopal Varma's hit Hindi political crime thriller released in 2005 had the same title

The long-awaited first look of Vijay's next film directed by AR Murugadoss was unveiled on television today during Sun TV's news hour, and the title was revealed to be Sarkar. The film, which was referred to as Thalapathy 62, also stars Keethy Suresh, Radha Ravi, Varlaxmi Sarathkumar, Pala Karuppiah and Yogi Babu. 

The first look shows a black-clad Vijay smoking a cigarette. The poster also has "Happy Deepavali" at the bottom, confirming that the film will be hitting the screens as planned on Diwali. AR Murugadoss, speaking after the launch of the first look said, "Sarkar will be much different from and better than our previous outings Kaththi and Thuppakki." 

Incidentally, Ram Gopal Varma's hit Hindi political crime thriller released in 2005 had the same title. Before the title was officially revealed there were several fanmade images circulating on social media stating that the film was titled Vera Level.
