Jisshu Sengupta says it is a huge honour to be able to represent such a sincere visionary as LV Prasad in a film based on the legendary actor-filmmaker-politician NTR.

This will be the Bengali actor’s debut in the South film industry. The film, which will be directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, also features Vidya Balan and Rana Daggubati. It is being jointly produced by Balayya, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri, and the makers are planning to release the film on January 9, 2019.

“It’s a huge honour to be able to represent such a sincere visionary as LV Prasad. As a producer, his films had the signature of telling catastrophic romances with theatrical characters backed by some memorable music,” says Jisshu, adding, “As an actor and director, he chose subjects that were emotional, dramatic and driven by performances. I have begun my theoretical preparations for the film after my surgery as Krish has given me a lot of content to browse through. I’m quite excited and nervous at the same time.”

The actor asserts that the South industry has always been a priority for him. “I never got the right opportunity till Krish approached me for this film. I have begun some lessons in Telugu but will reserve one week for intense language training when I arrive in Hyderabad,” he adds.
