Earlier this Thursday, Prime Video announced the release date of Maxton Hall: Reunion, the show that brings the cast of the German series Maxton Hall: The World Between Us back together. The Maxton Hall special show is slated for an August 27 release on Prime Video. The show features the cast, including Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten, as they talk about their experience during the production of the popular series, an adaptation of Mona Kasten’s Maxton Hall series of novels. They recall their memories of shooting the series at the famed Marienburg Castle and share their excitement for the upcoming premiere of Maxton Hall Season 2, according to Prime Video’s official description.
With the reunion special, the streamer is looking to build anticipation for the upcoming second season of Maxton Hall: The World Between Us, which is premiering on November 07 this year. The first season follows students Ruby and James Beaufort at a public school named Maxton Hall. As Ruby (Herbig-Matten) discovers a shocking secret at the boarding school by chance, the quick-witted Beaufort (Hardung) must cope with the arrogant millionaire heir. The first season also stars Sonja Weißer as Lydia Beaufort, Justus Riesner as Alistair Ellington, Ben Felipe as Cyril Vega, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer Beaufort, Clelia Sarto as Cordelia Beaufort, and Runa Greiner as Ember Bell.
Released on Prime Video in May 2024, the series had Martin Schreier and Tarek Roehlinger serving as its directors. They directed it from a screenplay by head writer Daphne Ferraro as well as contributing scribes Marlene Melchior, Marc Schießer, Zoe Hagen, Anna Schimrigk, Juliana Lima Dehne, and Nina Rathke.
Meanwhile, Prime Video has renewed Maxton Hall for a third season. An adaptation of third and last instalment in the book series, titled Save Us, the upcoming third season will bring back Hardung and Herbig-Matten in the lead roles.
