Trailer for Netflix's Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is out

On Sunday, Netflix dropped the trailer for the animated series  Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. The series is based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels written and drawn by Bryan Lee O’Malley. The book was earlier adapted into a live-action film titled Scott Pilgrim vs. the World in 2010. The film's cast will reprise their respective roles in the upcoming series. The series will premiere on November 17. 

The returning cast includes Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers), Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells), Chris Evans (Lucas Lee), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), Jason Schwartzman (Gideon Graves), Johnny Simmons (Young Neil), Mark Webber (Stephen Stills), Mae Whitman (Roxie), and Ellen Wong (Knives Chau).

Netflix's official synopsis read, "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off follows the title character as he falls in love with New Yorker Ramona Flowers. But in order to date her, he must defeat all seven of her evil exes. Then things get even more complicated."

The series hails from anime house Science SARU. It is written and executive produced by O'Malley and BenDavid Grabinski, with music by Anamanaguchi and Joseph Trapanese.
