Filming of Tarantino, a new police thriller directed by debutant Elwin C Johnson, commenced in Cherthala with a pooja ceremony. Renji Panicker, Deepak Parambol, Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, Siddique, Aditi Ravi and many others star in the film. Nalla Cinema Productions, the banner that debuted with this year's time-loop mystery thriller Sambhavam Adhyayam Onnu, is co-producing the upcoming film with The Plot Pictures.

The cast of Tarantino also includes Maniyanpilla Raju, Fahad Sidheekh, Senthil Krishna, Kill-fame Parth Tiwari, Nandu, Sreejith Ravi, and child actors Orhan and Adhisheshan, noted for their roles in Sarkeet and Balan, respectively. Vineeth Kumar will also be seen in a cameo role.

Written by S Jayakrishnan, Tarantino, according to the makers will be completely different from the usual police narratives. It has music by Godwin Thomas, cinematography by Prakash Rana, and editing by Arjun Prakash.
