The makers of Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game have dropped the film’s first single titled 'Mazhavillaye'. The song marks singer Armaan Malik’s Malayalam playback debut. Jakes Bejoy has composed the song, while Shrafu has written the lyrics.

‘Mazhavillaye’ is a soft romantic track featuring Dulquer’s Dan John and Kayadu Lohar. The song has a breezy feel, with the visuals focusing on the romantic side of their characters. It also gives a glimpse into Dan’s personal life, which seems to be an important part of the story before things take a darker turn. Jayasudha and filmmaker Shyamaprasad are also seen in the song, seemingly as Dan John’s parents.

Sharing the song on social media, Armaan wrote, “I couldn’t have asked for a more special Malayalam collaboration than this one with the incredible @jakes_bejoy and @Dulquer. So grateful to be a part of this beautiful song. Hope you love it as much as I do!!!”

I’m Game is directed by Nahas Hidhayath, best known for RDX. Dulquer plays Dan John, a man deeply involved in gambling who believes there is an algorithm behind the game rather than relying on luck.

The film’s trailer, released recently, showed Dan caught in a difficult situation as his professional and personal lives begin to collide. The trailer also hints at a revenge story, with Mysskin playing the antagonist. Antony Varghese’s character has been kept largely under wraps. Vinay Forrt, Kathir and Samyuktha Viswanathan are also part of the cast. Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu, and Ismail Aboobacker have written the screenplay based on a story by Nahas Hidhayath. Adarsh Sukumaran, Shabas Rasheed and Sajeer Baba have penned the dialogues.

I’m Game is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on August 20, as part of this year’s Onam releases alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran's Khalifa and Nivin Pauly's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.
