A 1.05-minute-long teaser of the upcoming Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad film Hridayapoorvam was released on Saturday. The teaser begins with Mohanlal's character interacting with a North Indian youth, who calls himself a huge fan of Malayalam cinema, particularly 'FaFa' (Fahadh Faasil). What follows is a fun meta moment as Mohanlal suggests that Malayalam cinema also has some good senior actors!
The teaser further proceeds to feature glimpses of other important actors in the film, like Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, and Lalu Alex. Going by the teaser, the film promises to once again explore Mohanlal's famed playful side, with Sangeeth as his sidekick this time.
Debutant Sonu TP has written Hridayapoorvam's screenplay and dialogues based on a story by Sathyan's son Akhil Sathyan, who directed Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum. Cinematographer Anu Moothedath, art director Prasanth Madhav, sound designer Anil Radhakrishnan, and composer Justin Prabhakaran form the core technical team.
Hridayapoorvam marks the reunion of Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad ten years after their last collaboration, Ennum Eppozhum. Also produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, the upcoming film is scheduled for Onam release on August 28.
Along with Hridayapoorvam, this year's Onam will also see the release of Fahadh Faasil's Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira and Shane Nigam's Balti.
