It's a wrap for Mohanlal's Vrushabha

Slated to hit screens on October 16, Vrushabha is billed as an action-packed entertainer centred around a father-son drama

On Monday, Mohanlal announced the completion of his upcoming pan-Indian film Vrushabha via his social media handles. Sharing a video from the wrap-up event, the actor expressed his excitement, stating that the film is not merely a movie but "an EPIC action entertainer that will leave you on the edge of your seat!" He credited Kannada director Nanda Kishore for his vision and ability to overcome challenges, describing his contribution as turning "every challenge into a triumph." The actor also acknowledged the dedication of the crew and the support of the producers, commending their unwavering belief in the project. Urging audiences to prepare for an exhilarating cinematic experience, he added, "Get ready for an unforgettable journey! See you in theatres this Diwali. Brace yourselves for the ride of a lifetime!"

The film also stars Roshan Meka, Shanaya Kapoor, Zara Khan, Srikanth Meka and Ragini Dwivedi, among others. It is presented by Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms, with producers including Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, CK Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, Abhishek Vyas, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta.

Having commenced production in 2023, Vrushabha was shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu. The final schedule concluded in Mumbai, after which the cast and crew marked the occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony. The film will be released in five languages: Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is gearing up for the release of Prithviraj Sukumaran's L2: Empuraan, the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, which is scheduled to hit theatres on March 27. He also has other Malayalam projects in various stages of production, including Tharun Moorthy's Thudarum, which was postponed from its original January release, Mahesh Narayanan's multistarrer film alongside Mammootty and Fahadh Faasil, Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan's next film, and Sathyan Anthikad's Hridayapoorvam, set to begin filming this month and slated for an Onam release on August 25. Additionally, Mohanlal is also part of Kannappa, the star-studded Telugu fantasy drama featuring Vishnu Manchu in the lead, which is slated for a theatrical release in April this year. It also features Prabhas and Akshay Kumar in cameo roles.
