The worlds of Indian cinema and gaming have come together in a high-profile collaboration. Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), one of the country’s most popular mobile games, has officially partnered with Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Announced as part of BGMI’s new 4.4 update, the collaboration introduces the ‘Yash x BGMI: The Toxic Voice Pack’.

The collaboration, considered one of the biggest celebrity tie-ups in BGMI history, will roll out in two phases. As part of the ‘Toxic Exchange Event’, players can complete daily missions to unlock exclusive in-game rewards inspired by the film. These include the Toxic Daddy Trenchcoat, Toxic Parachute, Toxic Avatar, Avatar Frame, and several other themed collectibles. Limited-edition voice packs in Kannada and Hindi will also be available.

The second phase begins on June 2, when the ‘Toxic Voice Pack Crate’ becomes available. Players will then be able to use Yash’s signature voice during gameplay, adding a distinctly cinematic touch to BGMI matches.

Speaking about the collaboration, Yash said Gen Z audiences are drawn to thrilling and imaginative experiences, something he believes matches the spirit of Toxic. He added that what appealed to him about BGMI was the passion of its gaming community and called it exciting to connect with young audiences through both his voice and the film.

Krafton India’s Head of Business Development, Siddharth Mehrotra, said, “Yash is a pan-India superstar. His original voice will be available in Kannada and Hindi, allowing players to genuinely feel his presence every time they enter a match.”

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups stars Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, with music by Ravi Basrur, the action drama is slated for a simultaneous release in Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
