Actor Ajith Kumar has thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay for announcing plans to develop a seperate Motorsports City. The upcoming specialised zone for motorsports fans will be developed ini Chennai.
In a statement to India Today, Ajith Kumar said, "My heartfelt thank you to the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C Joseph Vijay Avl for giving every discipline of sports including motorsports, the much needed attention by announcing Tamil Nadu governments initatives to develop infrastructure."
He added, "Me being currently involved in motorsports, I would like to rephrase a quote by Astronaut Mr Neil Armstrong ‘One small step by the Tamil Nadu govt, one giant leap for motorsports in India!’ Wishing The Honourable Chief Minister Thiru C Joseph Vijay Avl the very best in all his endeavors."

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar has been participating in endurance races across the world. This journey will be seen in a new documentary, Gladiators, which is set to arrive in theatres. The upcoming documentary is produced by Shalini Ajithkumar, the actor's wife.
