Filmmaker Simple Suni has stepped into a new phase of life as he and his wife Soundarya welcomed a baby boy on the morning of March 11.

Sharing the news with his followers on Instagram, Suni posted a video and wrote, “At 9:16 am on March 11, a pure little gem has entered our lives. Salutations to this creation.” His words explained the excitement and gratitude surrounding the arrival of their newborn.

Suni, who made his directorial debut with Simple Agi Ondh Love Story, tied the knot with Soundarya in February 2017 in a ceremony at Chikkamagaluru district. The couple, who married for love, have now embraced parenthood with the arrival of their baby boy.

Friends from the film industry and fans have been showering the filmmaker with wishes. Actors including Ashika Ranganath and Vinay Rajkumar were among those congratulating the new parents.

Earlier this year, while celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary, Suni had revealed that they were expecting a child by sharing baby bump photographs of his wife. In an emotional note, he wrote about how the years of marriage had quietly passed and expressed hope that the life they were creating together would be beautiful.

Interestingly, Suni’s first film Simple Agi Ondh Love Story released in March and marked his arrival as a director. Now, in the same month, he celebrates of becoming a father.
