Veteran actor Sathyajeet to make directorial debut with Bullet

The film stars Dharma Keethiraj, Shreya Shukla and Ajita Jha

Sathyajeet, who has acted in over 50 films, which includes Tamil and Hindi, is now marking his directorial debut with the Kannada film, Bullet.

Starring Navagraha actor Dharma Keerthiraj, the film also stars Shreya Shukla, and Ajita Jha who are working in Kannada for the first time.

Speaking to CE on the side-lines of the film’s muharath, which took place recently, Sathyajeet recalls his stint in acting, especially the time he worked with Sridevi, Rajinikanth, and Kamal Haasan in Bharathiraja’s 16 Vayathiniley. He also mentions working with Sunny Deol in Rajkumar Santhoshi’s Ghayal. “Having done my film course at Adyar film and Television institute, I immediately got into acting. However, I also had the passion to direct, which finally comes through Bullet,” says Sathyajeet.

The film is billed as an action drama, which also highlights father-son sentiment. Sathyajeet, who penned the story, and the screenplay will also be producing the film and playing a crucial role. The cast consists of Ishaq Kazi, Amjad Qureshi, Bhavya, Radha Ramchandra, and others.

With music by Raj Bhaskar, Bullet has cinematography by National award-winner PVR Swamy. “We are planning to begin shooting in the next few days, and will be filming across Bengaluru, Goa, and parts of Mangaluru,” says Sathyajeet.
