Netflix released the teaser of its new anime series titled Scott Pilgrim Takes Off which is set to premiere on Netflix on November 17. The series is based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novels. It is to be noted that they have been earlier adapted as live action film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

The cast of the live action film will reprise their roles. The anime will feature Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Alison Pill, Aubrey Plaza, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber,  Ellen Wong, among others.

“Scott Pilgrim Takes Off follows the title character as he falls in love with New Yorker Ramona Flowers. But in order to date her, he must defeat all seven of her evil exes. Then things get even more complicated,” reads the synopsis as per Tudum.

The series hails from anime house Science SARU. It is written and executive produced by O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski, with music by Anamanaguchi and Joseph Trapanese.
