We had previously reported about Rajesh Sharma, who prominently works in Hindi cinema, falling critically ill due to an insect bite on the set of the upcoming Prabhas film Fauzi at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. During a recent interview, however, the actor made a few clarifications on his health, saying that he is doing perfectly fine now.

Speaking with NDTV, Rajesh Sharma said, “It's false news. Nothing happened on Prabhas's film set. Neither Prabhas nor the unit was responsible in any way. They are nice people. Nothing happened in Hyderabad while I was shooting there.” Also informing that he is currently recovering after completing the treatment, Rajesh added, “Hopefully, I will start working in a week.”

Giving more details on his prior health issues, which led to the hospitalisation, the actor said, “I have had a skin problem in my right leg for long. From there, I have got the infection. After I flew back to Kolkata, in a day or two, the situation became severe because my diabetes was very high and I didn't take it seriously at the beginning.”

The news of Rajesh Sharma’s hospitalisaiton spread after Sudipa Chatterjee shared a statement about it on her Instagram page, which she later deleted. Talking about the same, Rajesh stated, “She's a good friend. Out of concern, she posted that. But she was wrongly informed."

Rajesh Sharma will soon be seen in the Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan starrer Haiwaan, which releases theatrically on September 11. His previous popular works include Parineeta, Khosla Ka Ghosla, BA Pass, Ishqiya, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Fauzi is currently set for December 3 release. Besides Prabhas, the film also features Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, Imanvi and Chaitra J Achar in key roles.
