On Friday, Prime Video unveiled the official trailer of one of its upcoming shows Maa Ka Sum. Mona Singh and Mihir Ahuja play the lead roles in the series directed by Nicholas Kharkongor.

In Maa Ka Sum, Mihir Ahuja plays Agastya, a math wizard, who is obsessed with cracking the algorithm to find the perfect partner for his single mom. In his journey, the young boy decides to take the help of a supportive and empathetic scholar Ira Raina (Angira Dhar), who encourages him on his quest.  However, as Agastya decides in his journey, not everything can be determined by formula, and that not all battles can be won with scientific genius.

While Mona Singh plays Vinita, the mother figure who has her own journey of self-discovery independent of her son’s, the series trailer also introduces other key cast members like Ranveer Brar and Celesti Bairagey. Other cast members include Rohan Joshi, Hetal Gada, Ishankk Salluja, Yuktam Khosla, Gunjan Joshi, Ismeet Kohli, Namit, Nikhat Khan Hegde, Adil Zubair, Pubali Sanyal, Puja Banerjee, and Manish Anand.

Maa Ka Sum is written by Ravinder Randhawa, Sumrit Shahi, Akhlaque Khan, and Heena D'Souza. Babita Ashiwal and Adi Sharmaa serve as producers. Maa Ka Sum is slated for its premiere next week, on April 3.

Mona Singh also played a major role in Subedaar, another of recent Prime Video projects which released earlier this month. Mona’s other recent works include Kohrra S2 and Happy Patel
