Actor Anil Kapoor's latest film Subedaar, directed by Suresh Triveni, has been available on Prime Video for a few days now. The film has received mixed reviews from critics. However, many audience members have appreciated it as well. The latest to commend the film is director Karan Johar.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Karan wrote, "I am late to this rock solid gut punch party!!!! What an amazing watch and how outstanding is Anil Kapoor... convincing and riveting in equal measure... he is GOLD!!! Love you AK!!!"

The filmmaker also expressed his appreciation for Subedaar director Suresh Triveni. Concluding his thoughts, he wrote, "Congratulations to the entire cast and to Suresh and to Prime Video for making such a Bharpoor film!!!!!"

In his response, Anil teased a potential first film with Karan Johar the director. Sharing Karan's Subedaar movie review on his Instagram Stories, Anil wrote, "Wow. Thank you Karan means a lot. Looking forward to our next collaboration."

It is worth noting that Anil is yet to star in a film directed by Karan. However, he has starred in films produced by Karan's banner Dharma Productions, such as 2022's JugJugg Jeeyo, and one of his films with the director, titled Takht, was shelved.

Coming back to Subedaar, the film tells the story of an erstwhile soldier whose sole reckless act threatens to derail his return to a normal civilian life even as he grapples with loss. As past wounds open up again, the man must conjure up the warrior inside him and deal with a new form of war, which is more personal than ever before. The film also stars Radhika Madan, Aditya Rawal, Saurabh Shukla, Faisal Malik, Mona Singh, Vikram Pratap, Khusbhu Sundar, Manav Kaul, and Nana Patekar.
