We had earlier reported about the controversy over the film Kala Hiran, where Salman Khan had sent notice to the producers, alleging them of defamation. In response, the film’s producer Amit Jani had stated that he would not bow down to pressures and take the legal route to get his film released smoothly. Now, Amit Jani is planning to send legal notice to one of his film’s actors Govind Namdev, who had spoken about his involvement in the film, stating that he was misled about its premise and storyline.
Taking to his Instagram page, Amit Jani said in a video statement, “Everybody knows you can’t get an actor to shoot without getting them a script. In fact, Govind Namdeo had done an agreement with me, not just for Kala Hiran but also a sequel project. The agreement also includes clauses about taking part in promotions and not making any defamatory statements about the film on any platform.”
A few days ago, Govind Namdev had spoken to media, where he said that he was misled about the film, and didn’t know about the story’s connection to Salman Khan and his legal battles around the black buck case. Declaring his further action, Amit Jani added, “We will initiate legal proceedings against you. You have to answer the Noida High Court, and defends your statements there.”
The teaser of Kala Hiran was released online 5 days ago, and has already received more than 1.6 million hits. Kala Hiran is directed by Bharat S Shrinate and produced by Amit under Firefox Media Private Limited.
