Following the release of Vijay Sethupathi's latest theatrical outing, Baththa, the film's praise predominantly featured appreciation for one actor, child actor Sai Prithviraj, who shared equal screen space with the lead actor in the Balaji Tharaneetharan directorial.

Many have been calling for a national award for the child artist, with some particularly praising a monologue performed by him. Also starring, Lijomol Jose, baby Sahasra Shree, Santhy Balachandran, Hari Krishnan and Arjun Chidambaram in supporting roles, the film opened in theatres on October 1 and is running sucessfully.

Now, Sai Prithviraj has revealed that he has been cast in yet another star film. The actor is all set to play Dhanush's son in D56. Speaking to SS Music, the actor not only confirmed his casting in D56, but also added that he was given the opportunity after the film's makers watched his performance in Baththa.

Helmed by Tamilarasan Pachamuthu, D56, also starring Preity Mukhundhan, SJ Suryah, Vadivelu and Vijay B Kumar, recently went on floors in Madurai. The film has music by Sai Abhyankkar, who is also composing for Dhanush's Om. The film is backed by Naga Vamsi and Haritha Lingusamy under the Sithara Entertainment and Primark Productions banners, respectively.

Meanwhile, Baththa, has earned around Rs 16.31 crores in gross collections worldwide. It follows the story of a gangster, who is accidentally locked up in a school's toilet by a young boy. As they come to terms with the incident, the film follows the life changing effects of the incident. The film is backed by director Atlee under his A for Apple Studios banner, alongside Ashwin Murugan, Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, Alok Jain and Ajith Andhare under the Star Studio 18 and Cine 1 Studios banners.
