Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took to Instagram on Tuesday to share photos with their daughter Dua as they wished everyone on the festive occasion of Diwali.
In the adorable photos, Ranveer and Deepika are seen holding Dua together as he is warmly smiling. Both Dua and Deepika wore a red outfit and Ranveer donned a white dress with a golden chain. In another photo, Deepika holds Dua’s hands during prayer. In the caption, they wrote in Hindi, “Heartiest wishes of Diwali.”
This is the first time that Deepika and Ranveer are showing Dua to the world. They had earlier requested the paparazzi to refrain from shooting their daughter and respect her privacy.
Ranveer and Deepika gave birth to Dua in September 2024 and revealed her name in November, which means prayer in Arabic. The couple shared that the name was inspired by their mutual love for poetry and music, symbolising gratitude and hope.
Deepika and Ranveer got married in 2018 in a grand ceremony held in Italy. The two started dating during the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and got secretly engaged in 2015 before making their marriage public in 2018.
On the work front, Deepika is currently shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s King. She was recently appointed as India's first Mental Health Ambassador by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Meanwhile, Ranveer will be seen next in the actioner, Dhurandhar. The film also stars the film stars Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal, among others. It will be released in theatres on December 5.
