Dhanush and Kriti Sanon are all set to appear in Aanand L Rai's much-anticipated film Tere Ishk Mein. The film has been generating buzz since the film was announced and the hype surrounding it has only increased with AR Rahman's music garnering massive applause. Ahead of its release, Kriti Sanon showered praise on her co-star calling him an "incredible actor".

"I have always been an admirer of his talent and his craft. I feel he has a very strong hold on his craft. He’s very nuanced; he also directed a lot of films, and comes from a lot of experience and understanding of scenes and how it will translate on the screen," she said, adding, "He really brings out a lot of layers in his character and I was very excited to work with him. I knew I’m going to have an actor who I can really feed off from… that is exactly what happened. And we had not met before, and even Shankar and Mukti in the film at a point had not met before, so that worked out!"

The film's trailer, which was released earlier this month, hinted at a violent love story between Dhanush and Kriti Sanon's characters. Speaking in detail about their on-screen dynamics, Kriti said Tere Ishk Mein has long and "intense scenes". "He’s really collaborative as an actor and really helpful. I think together we have created some magical moments and felt it when the scene happened. Both of us would look at each other and say, ‘That was a good scene!’ I really enjoyed working with him and I hope we do a lot more work in the future," she noted.

Kriti also recently spoke about stepping into the role of Mukti, a character she described as pure-hearted and almost childlike in her belief in goodness. She explained that while Mukti makes choices she personally wouldn’t, there were still emotional threads she could relate to. “She truly believes the world can change, that people can be transformed, and that there’s goodness in everyone,” Kriti said, noting that this unwavering optimism is what she connected with most. During the same event, Dhanush credited Kriti for bringing focus and sensitivity to the process, saying that their shared approach made the experience especially rewarding.

Tere Ishk Mein has been written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav and directed by Aanand L Rai. It marks the third collaboration between the Dhanush and Aanand, after Ranjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021). This is the first time Kriti is joining forces, both with the actor and the director. Aanand L Rai last directed Raksha Bandhan, starring Akshay Kumar, in 2022. The film is slated to release on November 28.
