The trailer of Sohum Shah and Nushrratt Bharuccha’s upcoming silent comedy-thriller, Ufff Yeh Siyapaa was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Backed by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the film is directed by G. Ashok and features no dialogues. It also stars Nora Fatehi, Omkar Kapoor and Sharib Hashmi in pivotal roles.

The trailer gives a glimpse into its chaotic world where a voiceover declares at the start that the film features no spoken words. It introduces Sohum as Kesari Lal Singh, a common man, whose wife, Pushpa (Nushrratt), leaves him as she feels that he flirts with their neighbour, Kamini (Nora). Before Kesari can do anything to challenge his wife’s accusation, a wrongly delivered drug parcel sets off a chain of escalating disasters, the worst of which is a dead body turning up at his home. A police inspector, Hasmukh (Omkar) arrives with a personal agenda of his own to investigate. The trailer features a lot of comical sequences with no dialogues but just exaggerated movements, situational comedy and over-the-top background score.

Speaking about the film, director, G. Ashok said in a press release, “Ufff Yeh Siyapaa is my passion project. My dance and choreography background gave me the confidence to tell a story through expressions alone. I’m proud of the cast - Sohum, Nushrratt, Nora, Omkar, for bringing their roles to life. Rahman sir’s music is the heart of the film, perfectly conveying its emotion and chaos. I’m grateful to Luv and Ankur for backing the film and supporting this vision.”

The film features music composed by A.R. Rahman. Sharing his thoughts on working on the film, Rahman said, “We experimented with a lot of genres while scoring this humorous movie.”

The film marks Nushrratt's reunion with Luv Ranjan after 2018's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. She has worked significantly in all five of his directorial ventures, including Pyaar Ka PunchnamaAkaash VaniPyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.

Ufff Yeh Siyapaa is set to be released in theatres on September 5.
