In a recent interview, Bollywood's Boney Kapoor confirmed that the sequels to Mr India and No Entry—both produced by him, in different eras—are in the works. While a follow-up to each film has been teased for a long, nothing so far has materialized.

Boney told Pinkvilla that there's no legal issue around the script of No Entry 2, as previously speculated in the media. He assured that both the script and actors are in order and 'things just have to fall in place'. Released in 2005, No Entry was a popular comedy directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Fardeen Khan. The film was remade from the Tamil-language Charlie Chaplin (2002). A few years ago, Salman confirmed that a sequel to No Entry is being assembled.

Boney's latest Tamil production, Thunivu, starring Ajith Kumar, was released in theatres this week. He next has Maidaan (Hindi) on the cards.

Boney is also making his acting debut in Luv Ranjan's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Slated to release in March, the romantic comedy stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
