Robert Downey Jr's portrayal of the big, bad supervillain Victor von Doom/Dr Doom in Anthony and Joe Russo's Avenger: Doomsday has been receiving a lot of expectations from fans. Downey Jr who led the overarching storyline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Tony Stark/Ironman until Avengers: Endgame (2019), will portray Dr Doom, the primary villain of Russo brothers' Avengers: Doomsday.

Director Anthony revealed to People recently, "That was something that Robert surprised us with one day. You know, we were talking about all the details of the character -- the voice, of course, is a key part of it, especially in the mask."

He added, "So one day I think it was in the trailer, we were just sort of talking about some ideas, and he broke out into the voice. And we knew at that moment, that was it."

Meanwhile, director Joe revealed that he got chills during the moment. He said, "I mean it was one of those moments. It'd probably be one of the more memorable moments -- that and the 'I Am Iron Man' scene when he snapped his fingers. Robert tends to present a lot of those super memorable moments."

With the return of several classic heroes, Avengers: Doomsday is set to open in theatres on December 18.
