After 12 years Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright will join hands for a new film. Along with Nick Frost, Pegg and Wright have collaborated on Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End.
Pegg confirmed the news when he was speaking to Collider at the Fan Expo Boston. Pegg revealed that Wright was currently working on his upcoming film The Running Man, which is set to be released theatrically on November 7.
The Running Man, which is based on Stephen King's 1982 novel, stars Glen Powell as Ben Richards, a man who joins a game show, through which forces him to be chased by some of the most dangerous killers for thirty days. Along with Powell the cast for the film includes Josh Brolin, Jayme Lawson, Colman Domingo, Lee Pace, and Michael Cera, among others.
Pegg also said that the upcoming film will deviate from his and Wright's comedic sensibilities. Meanwhile Frost, who is also a frequent collaborator with Pegg and Wright, is currently essaying the role of Hagrid.
