Paul Feig is returning to direct the sequel to A Simple Favor

The other day, we reported that Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively would reprise their roles in the sequel to A Simple Favor. Now, it is learnt that Allison Janney would join Lively and Kendrick in A Simple Favor 2. The original's cast members Henry Golding, Bashir Salahuddin, Andrew Rannells, Ian Ho, Joshua Satine, Aparna Nancherla, and Kelly McCormack are returning for the sequel. Actors such as Elena Sofia Ricci, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Taylor Ortega, Lorenzo de Moor, and Alex Newell are also part of the film.

Director Paul Feig's A Simple Favor 2 follows Kendrick's Stephanie and Lively's Emily as they visit the Capri island for the latter's marriage to an affluent businessperson from Italy. Jessica Sharzer wrote the screenplay, based on Darcy Bell's characters, with revisions from director Feig, Laeta Kalogridis, and Steve Yockey.

Janney is part of the Kristen Wiig-starrer Palm Royale, which is streaming on Apple TV+, and is shooting her portions for the second season of The Diplomat. Her upcoming projects include Everything’s Going To Be Great and Miss You, Love You.
