Release date pushed further for Kraven The Hunter in India

The film is said to be a "journey into the dark depths of one of Marvel's most formidable villains."

While it was anticipated that the Marvel origin story, Kraven The Hunter, would be releasing in Indian theatres on December 13, the makers postponed the film on Monday.

According to Sony Pictures Entertainment India's official press note, the film's release has been pushed to January 1, 2025.

Kraven is one of Spiderman's villains. The origin story of Kraven features Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the titular role, with Russell Crowe playing the character's gangster father, Nikolai Kravinoff. The film also stars Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola and Christopher Abbott.

The film is said to be a "journey into the dark depths of one of Marvel's most formidable villains."

Kraven The Hunter, directed by JC Chandor, revolves around Kraven's complex relationship with his ruthless gangster father, Nikolai Kravinoff. This starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world but also one of its most feared.

The film will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
