Harvey Keitel joins spinoff series National Treasure: Edge of History

Harvey Keitel joins the National Treasure spinoff series titled National Treasure: Edge of History. The makers of the show unveiled the teaser and a special featurette for the show at San Diego Comic-Con. The show is based on the characters from Nicholas Cage’s National Treasure film series. 

Jon Turteltaub, who directed National Treasure and National Treasure: Book of Secrets, returns to executive produce the series along with Cormac and Marianne Wibberley. Mira Nair, known for directing Denzel Washington’s Mississippi Masala, is brought on board to direct the ten-episode series.

Lisette Alexis is cast as the lead of the show, joining her will be Lyndon Smith, Zuri Reed, Jake Austin Walker, Antonio Cipriano, and Jordan Rodrigues, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Justin Bartha, who plays Nicholas Cage’s assistant Riley Poole in the original films, returns in a guest role for the series. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar, no official release date has been announced yet.
