Producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that the script for National Treasure 3 is ready. Bruckheimer is known for making blockbuster franchises like Pirates of the Caribbean and Top Gun. The National Treasure franchise has currently been adapted into a spin-off television series. The series, developed by Disney, is titled National Treasure: Book of Secrets. The series will reportedly follow a new group of characters, with Justin Bartha from the original film making a brief appearance. 

National Treasure is a popular action-adventure film franchise that centres around a group of adventurers going on a treasure that might change the course of history.

The film series stars Nicholas Cage in the lead with Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha, Jon Voight, and Helen Mirren playing supporting roles. The planned third installment in the series is currently awaiting approval from the lead star Nicholas Cage.

The producer confirmed the news while talking about his newest release Top Gun: Maverick. He said, “Let's hope we're working on the script right now. Hopefully, Cage likes it, but it's really good. So I think we'll get it to him shortly.”
