Ariana plays a chef in this psychological thriller

Ariana DeBose, who bagged Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in West Side Story, is set to star in the psychological thriller House of Spoils.

According to Deadline, the actor is set to play an enterprising chef, who opens her first restaurant. Still, she has to contend with the powerful spirit of the estate's previous owner, who threatens to sabotage her at every turn.

The film is written and directed by Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy. Amazon Studios and Secret Engine have acquired the House of Spoils

The film's production will commence in the fall. Ariana took home Oscars, BAFTA, Critics Choice and SAG Awards for her role as Anita in Steven Spielberg's remake of West Side Story. The actor also became the first openly queer Afro Latina to win the Academy Award.
