The trailer of God Father, the upcoming Telugu film starring Chiranjeevi in the lead role, was released by the makers. The film is set to hit the big screens on October 5. 

God Father is the remake of hit Malayalam film Lucifer which starred Mohanlal. The Telugu remake is directed by Mohan Raja. 

The trailer reveals the hunt for power after the state’s chief minister PKR passes away, leading to questions on succession. While his daughter (Nayanthara) is not interested, his son-in-law (Satya Dev), and a few others in the party are in for a race to grab the throne. Brahma (Chiranjeevi), the trusted man of the fallen stalwart, is drawn into the murky affairs and is keen to keep greedy sharks at bay.

The film will also feature Salman Khan in a cameo role. While the film is shot by Nirav Shah, S Thaman has composed the music. God Father is produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films.
