Director SS Rajamouli attended a pre-release event for filmmaker Shashank Yeleti's upcoming film Don't Trouble the Trouble, starring Fahadh Faasil, on Sunday. Rajamouli attended the event as a special guest, and Suriya was also part of it. At one point, the Baahubali and Eega filmmaker was asked when he would work with Suriya, but he said in response that he did not want to take the focus of the event away from the upcoming film.

"I expected this question and came ready with the answer for it. First, we came here to promote the film, Don't Trouble the Trouble. If I talk anything about me and Suriya, that will be the headline; Don't Trouble the Trouble will go into the sidelines," the filmmaker said in his response. At the same time, the filmmaker noted, "Whenever we do a film, it is going to be really special."

SS Rajamouli also congratulated Suriya on the the commercial successes of his recent films Karuppu and Vishwanath and Sons. Describing the consecutive successes as "double dhamaka," he also conveyed his best wishes to the actor's upcoming film, Scene, directed by Aavesham fame Jithu Madhavan. "It is looking superb," the director said regarding the actor's upcoming film, which also stars Naslen and Nazriya. Notably, Scene stars Suriya as a police officer, and from the recently released promotional materials, it looks like a mass masala film with Jithu Madhavan's distinctive touch.

Rajamouli noted that Suriya has proven his calibre in the role of a cop in the mass masala genre with the Singam franchise and suggested that he expects the actor to show a different side of him in Scene. "You are completely showing the other side also.. The super uber cool new age cop in Scene," the director said before expressing his eagerness for the film's November release.
