SS Rajamouli is set to visit Keralam as part of the promotional campaign for Fahadh Faasil's upcoming Telugu fantasy entertainer Don't Trouble the Trouble. The RRR and Baahubali filmmaker will attend the film's pre-release event at Lulu Mall in Kochi at 6 pm on Monday as the chief guest.
Rajamouli, who has completed 25 years in Indian cinema, is presenting Don't Trouble the Trouble, which is directed by debutant Shashank Yeleti. The film is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on October 2, after being postponed from its earlier release date of September 11. It marks Fahadh's first outing as a lead actor in Telugu.
Fahadh plays Suri, a magician who befriends a young girl, played by child actor Ssara Palekar. The story takes a fantastical turn when the girl develops supernatural abilities and is revealed to be a genie capable of granting wishes. Saurabh Sachdeva also plays a key role in the film. It is produced by SS Karthikeya, Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banners of Arka Media Works and Showing Business.
Kaala Bhairava has composed the music and background score, while Brad Francis ACS is the cinematographer and Praveen Antony is the editor. The film will be released in Telugu, with dubbed versions in Malayalam and Tamil.
In Keralam, Don't Trouble the Trouble will be distributed by Bhavana Release, the distribution network of Bhavana Studios, which is backed by Fahadh, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran.
Fahadh, who was last seen in Malayalam in Patriot, will next work on Karate Chandran, directed by debutant Roy and backed by Bhavana Studios.
Meanwhile, Rajamouli is currently working on his much-anticipated upcoming directorial Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The action-adventure film is set to hit theatres worldwide on April 7, 2027.
