The makers of Ranabaali have announced that the film has wrapped production. Vijay Deverakonda and his wife, Rashmika Mandanna, lead the cast of the film, which will release on October 16.
Ranabaali is written and directed by Rahul Sankrityan, who has previously directed Vijay Deverakonda on Taxiwaala (2018). The upcoming film follows the titular rebel, who goes up against the British colonial officer Sir Theodore Hector (Arnold Vosloo), against their looting of food, and inducing drought. Arnold Vosloo is known for his role in The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001).
Production on the film began in January 2025, with the title being unveiled in January 2026. Rashmika Mandanna was announced to wrap her portions on Ranabaali, on Sunday. Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar have produced the film under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
The crew of the film includes music composers Ajay-Atul, cinematographers Jishnu Bhattacharjee and Nirav Shah, editor Karthika Srinivas R, production designer Shivam Rao Nagasani, and action choreographers Yannick Ben, Andy Long Nguyen, Rabin Subbu.
