The real-life couple Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are coming together as the lead pair for Ranabaali, a period drama. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under their Mythri Movie Makers banner. The makers had earlier announced that the film is set to hit the screens on October 16. Now, they unveiled the teaser on Wednesday, once again showcasing Vijay Deverakonda in a fierce avatar.

The teaser of Ranabaali gives a glimpse of Vijay Deverakonda in a powerful role set against the backdrop of British rule. Under the orders of the notorious Sir Theodore Hector, known as the Demon King, British officials loot every grain of food and turn the land, once known as Annapurna, into a drought-stricken region.

With people starving and struggling for food, this ruthless ruler kills anyone who dares to ask for it. This is when Ranabaali, played by Vijay Deverakonda, rises against Sir Theodore Hector and his officials with fierce determination and courage. Unable to withstand his bravery and the sharp strikes of his sword, the British officials and police are left scattered.

When the British officials ask his name, he responds with pride and ferocity, “Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali.” The action-packed episode gives a glimpse of the intensity the film has to offer, while also indicating that Ranabaali will be an emotional period drama packed with action.

Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in the film. Presented by T-Series, Ranabaali is being produced on a huge budget by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. Set in the 19th century, the film is based on real historical incidents that took place during British rule between 1854 and 1878. The pan-India film, which has huge expectations riding on it, is set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on October 16, on the occasion of Dasara.
