Choreographer Jani Master has collaborated with actor Vijay on a few films, with Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju, being their most recent outing. The film was also released in Telugu as Varasudu. One of its songs, 'Ranjithame', turned into a chartbuster upon its release in 2023. Around that time, there was widespread speculation about Vijay’s political entry. As expected, he eventually stepped into politics and is now set to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
On this occasion, Jani Master shared a video wishing Vijay success in his political journey and also recalled a memorable incident from the 'Ranjithame' shoot. Speaking about Vijay’s efforts and journey, he said:
“The main reason I’m making this video is to speak about Thalapathy Vijay sir’s political journey. For the past four to five days, I’ve been watching you — your oath-taking preparations, the effort you’re putting in, and the challenges you’re facing. Hard work always pays off. You are a good person, and God will stand by you, support you, and see you take the oath.”
He further added, “The day you decided to enter politics with the intention of serving people, you became a Chief Minister in spirit. People have given you more than a hundred seats and made you win — that itself is like becoming a CM. You will definitely sit in that chair and, in your own way, deliver the best governance and do good for the people.”
Recalling the incident, Jani Master said, “During the 'Ranjithame' shoot, you were posing for photo stills. I asked for two specific shots — one with a ‘namaste’ gesture and another waving your hand. You asked me why, and I said there was a reason. When you asked if it was for politics, I said 'yes'. I even told you to keep those stills safe, as they would be remembered when you become Chief Minister.”
He added, “When the results came recently and you crossed a hundred seats, that moment from the 'Ranjithame' shoot came back to my mind. It’s not that you became CM because I said something back then — people wanted you, and that’s why you reached here. All the best, anna. Move forward with your plans, do good, and stay true to your path. I believe you will do great things for the people.”
Jani Master concluded the video by saying, “Be healthy, be happy, anna. Thank you, and Jai Hind.”
