

With just four rounds of counting complete, fans and supporters of actor-turned-politician Vijay have already started gathering in huge crowds to celebrate his win prematurely. The situation is still tense as counting continues, and therefore, security has been tightened at Vijay's Panaiyur residence.
A number of khaki- and military-uniformed officers can now be seen in front of Vijay's house after supporters have started thronging the area in huge crowds, as per reports. As of now, the Jana Nayagan actor's TVK party is currently leading, followed by the AIADMK-led NDA alliance, with DMK in third position.
A debut for Vijay, the actor-politician contested the election from two constituencies, namely, Trichy East and Perambur. The party also contested in Puducherry, where it is currently trailing behind the BJP alliance.
Meanwhile, a few members of the film industry have also been directly and indirectly showing their support for Vijay. Vijay's father, director SA Chandrasekhar, visited the Thiruthani Murugan temple on Monday ahead of the counting. Meanwhile, actors like Sibi Sathyaraj, Jai, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Sriman have also shared X posts supporting Vijay, either in a straightforward manner or with a hint.
Actor Trisha, who celebrates her 43rd birthday on Monday, was seen visiting the Tirupati temple. While many reported that she visited the temple praying for Vijay's win, the actor seems to have paid a visit to mark the occasion of her birthday.
On the acting front, Vijay is still awaiting the release of Jana Nayagan, which was recently leaked online a month ago. The film's release is still in limbo, as the Censor Board for Film Certification is yet to provide a censor certificate for the film. With the results scheduled for today, the censor certificate is expected to be provided soon.
