Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s latest outing, Maa Inti Bangaram, has picked up momentum at the box office after a solid opening day. Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, the action entertainer witnessed a strong jump on Saturday and crossed the Rs 25 crore mark worldwide within two days of release.

After opening with Rs 5.35 crore net in India on Friday, the film collected Rs 7.50 crore net on Day 2 across 2,591 shows (as per Sacnilk.com), registering a visible rise in audience turnout. With this, the film’s total India net collections stand at Rs 12.85 crore, while the India gross has reached Rs 14.90 crore.

Internationally too, the film continued its steady run. The action drama earned Rs 4 crore overseas on Saturday, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 10.60 crore. As a result, Maa Inti Bangaram has now grossed Rs 25.50 crore worldwide in just two days.

The biggest push came from the Telugu market, which contributed Rs 7.15 crore net on Day 2 with an occupancy of 51% across 2,023 shows. The Tamil version added Rs 35 lakh net, recording 22% occupancy across 568 shows.

The film marks Samantha’s first full-fledged action-led theatrical vehicle and sees her headline the narrative as Swarna, a newly married woman trying to blend into her husband’s conservative rural household while concealing a dangerous past as an assassin. When figures from her former life return, she is forced to confront who she once was to protect the family around her.

An excerpt from our CE review of the film read, "The film completely revolves around Samantha’s character Swarna/Jhansi, and she carries it from the beginning to the end. The combination of Nandini Reddy and Samantha works extremely well as they understand each other from their previous collaborations. Nandini knows how to present Samantha, and the actress delivers exactly what the role demands. For the first time, Samantha has explored a full action backdrop, and she handles it with confidence. It feels fresh for audiences watching her in this kind of role."

Apart from Samantha, the film also features Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale and Gautami in key roles. The film is produced by Samantha under Tralala Moving Pictures, with Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru serving as co-producers. Music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
