Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are set to take the next step in an educational initiative they announced earlier this year, aimed at supporting government school students in Telangana.

On Saturday, Vijay shared on social media that he and Rashmika were travelling to Thummanpet, the village where his father was born, to fulfil a commitment they had made in February. The actor revealed that the initiative is focused on recognising and encouraging students studying in Classes 9 and 10 across Achampet Mandal. Rashmika later reshared Vijay’s post, reacting with heart emojis.

The initiative was first announced following the couple’s wedding in Udaipur earlier this year. Through the Deverakonda Foundation, the duo had pledged to extend educational support to students studying in 44 government schools in Thummanpet.

As part of the programme, students are expected to receive assistance with school-related expenses, including timely payment of fees and access to learning materials such as notebooks. The initiative is also intended to reduce financial pressure on families and help prevent school dropouts.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Vijay and Rashmika are gearing up to appear together once again in the upcoming period drama Ranabaali, their first project after marriage and third collaboration overall. The pair had previously shared screen space in Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. According to reports, Ranabaali draws from real events dating back to the 1850s that allegedly remained absent from mainstream historical accounts.

Separately, Vijay Deverakonda was recently seen in a cameo appearance in Sing Geetham. He is working on Rowdy Janardhana with Keerthy Suresh, which is helmed by Ravi Kiran Kolla. He has also teamed up with director Shouryuv, known for Hi Nanna, for a prestigious project that aims to take Indian cinema onto the global stage.

Rashmika, on the other hand, will next be seen in Cocktail 2 alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, which is set to hit theatres on June 19. She is shooting for Mysaa directed by Ravindra Pulle.
