Following the bumper opening for his film Karuppu at the box office, actor Suriya has been keeping himself busy on social media. He responded to many messages, congratulating him for the film's opening and praising his performance in it. Karuppu also stars its director RJ Balaji and Trisha, among others.

Actor Vijay Deverakonda wrote, "So happy to see the overwhelming love for Suriya na's Karuppu in Tamil and Veerabhadrudu in Telugu. Hearing it is huuuuge. Love love love the news, for the brilliance he has been showing us on screen, giving his everything every year.. finally when the theaters are loud and noisy it fills all of us with Joy. Big congratulations Anna, please take a nice holiday and congratulations to director RJ Balaji and dearest Trisha."

In response, Suriya quoted a line from the film, "All this is for our beloved fans," and asked Vijay Deverakonda for holiday spot recommendations. He asked, "Btw which is a good holiday spot?"

Responding to the actor, Vijay wrote, "Prime Minister asked everyone not to go abroad. So Sending my Indian recommendations, where you can have some peaceful private time.. on WhatsApp anna." Recently, PM Narendra Modi asked people not to skip foreign travel amidst the geopolitical situation in West Asia.

Vijay Deverakonda is known to be for his admiration for PM Modi. Recently, Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna met Modi in person and invited the PM for their wedding reception.

Coming back to Karuppu, its lead actor has been seen in a jovial mood after the successful opening for the film. In a fun interaction with Karthi, the actor jokingly told the latter that his brother did not mention his name in a post praising the film. Soon afterwards, Karthi replied to his brother, saying, "That is there. KARUPPPAAA," referring to the latter's character name in the film. Director-actor RJ Balaji, too, made the same point to his co-star.
