Actor Swathi Reddy, popularly known as Colours Swathi, has entered a new phase in her life by marrying director Srikanth Nagothi, best known for directing Month of Madhu. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Wednesday and announced the happy news through social media.
Sharing two pictures from the wedding on Instagram, Swathi simply captioned them, "Hitched. 08-07-2026." The ceremony was a private affair attended only by close family members and friends.
Swathi and Srikanth first worked together on Month of Madhu, which was released in 2023. The romantic drama, starring Naveen Chandra in the lead role, marked Swathi's comeback to Telugu cinema after a break. According to sources close to the couple, the two developed a close bond during the making of the film, which eventually blossomed into a relationship.
This is Swathi's second marriage. She was earlier married to Malayali pilot Vikas Vasu in August 2018. The couple later separated.
Swathi made her acting debut with Danger (2005), directed by Krishna Vamsi, and went on to establish herself as one of the most popular actresses in Telugu cinema. Before entering films, she became a household name as the host of the television show Colours on Maa TV, which earned her the nickname 'Colours Swathi.' She interviewed several leading film personalities on the show, and the name has stayed with her throughout her career.
Over the years, Swathi has appeared in several successful films, including Golconda High School, Swamy Ra Ra, and Karthikeya. She has also acted in Tamil and Malayalam films.
Srikanth Nagothi made his directorial debut with Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna, which premiered directly on an OTT platform, with Naveen Chandra playing the lead. He later reunited with Naveen Chandra for Month of Madhu, casting Swathi as the female lead.
Although Month of Madhu did not become a commercial success, it received critical appreciation for its emotional storytelling and performances. Despite the film being regarded as Swathi's comeback, she did not sign any new projects after its release.
The news of Swathi and Srikanth's marriage has been warmly received by fans and members of the film industry, with many extending their best wishes to the newlyweds.
